MIFT is the one and only non-profit scientific organization in the country which is dedicated in promoting the application of science and technology in the food industry. The various activities that we organize aim to keep our members and various stakeholders abreast with the rapid technological development that is happening in the industry. With the ever increasing volume of cross-border food trade it is imperative that systems and legislations continue to be effective to ensure foods produced from any corner of the world and offered for sale are safe and meet the cultural, social or religious need of targeted consumers. In this respect we provide a platform for various stakeholders to deliberate and share their experience affecting the food industry and promote a healthy development of the industry. As a truly independent NGO, MIFT is in position to serve the society at large in providing unbiased views in particular on food safety which is based on sound science.
